Bite into biscuity goodness and be satisfied that one less takeaway cup will end up in landfill.

There are SO MANY single-use cups!

250-300 billion single use cups are disposed of globally, each year. While paper cups are marketed as 'eco-friendly', many disposable paper cups have a plastic lining which is harmful to the health of people and the planet - and most recycling programmes are incapable of processing plastic coated cups.

More taste, less waste!

twiice has a vision to make a global environmental impact through innovative sustainable packaging. The twiice cup is designed as a replacement for the single-use cups destined for landfills across the globe.

Plant based edible coffee cups

The twiice cup is leakproof and will stay crisp as long as it takes to drink your coffee, and longer - thanks to their cleverly crafted machinery. Bite into that biscuity goodness knowing your cup isn't headed to landfill!

Not just edible - delicious

Batch made in New Zealand using real ingredients, twiice cups come in a range of plant-based flavours perfect to hold your coffee and hot chocolate, milkshakes and freakshakes, ice cream and dessert.

This cup really amps up a luxury hot chocolate. Have your hot drink in a twiice cup for a drink and snack combo - you won't need an extra cookie or a muffin!

What do twiice cups taste like?

They're a bit like a vanilla wine biscuit, or a bit like a fortune cookie or waffle cone. You can also try chocolate flavour, or extra-decadent double chocolate dipped in 72% Belgian dark chocolate.

Will the cup taint the flavour of my coffee?

For the coffee connoisseurs out there, the cup has a vanilla flavour. Vanilla is the most versatile flavour to compliment your choice of hot drink or dessert.

How long do the cups stay fresh?

twiice cups are made in batches so they're fresh and crispy. Using only natural ingredients, there's nothing in a twiice cup that you wouldn't find in your pantry.

The compostable packaging bags aren't completely airtight (they wouldn't compost if they were). So when you receive your cups, it's recommended that you store them sealed in an airtight container to prolong their life. After opening the individual bag, treat the cup as you would a normal biscuit - the sooner you eat it, the fresher it will be.

Who makes twiice edible cups?

Jamie & Simone and Stephen & Theresa (Jamie's parents) have always had a knack for the artistic and creative, each bringing their own talents, skills and unique perspectives to the drawing board. Call them a family business, or simply a bunch of committed foodies who love getting stuck into a new project together.

As most good things do, the twiice story began unexpectedly, brewed up during one hot summer’s day in 2017. An edible coffee cup, but not one that tastes like seaweed or rice - a really tasty edible coffee cup. To tell you the truth, they went home and completely forgot about it. But a few weeks later, Jamie decided we should give it a shot. They started trialling recipes straight away with standard muffin tins and it wasn’t long before they upgraded to commercial baking equipment. Finally, after years of trial and error, we had a product ready for launch – the twiice cup!

In 2022, they opened a little coffee bar at their HQ in Tāmaki Makaurau, Auckland so that everyone who was curious could pop in and try them.

They also spent three weeks in the UK and Europe, sponsoring the European Coffee Symposium in London as well as hosting multiple activations around the UK and Europe. They were especially pleased to have the opportunity to showcase twiice cups at Roasting Plant Coffee in the Selfridges Food Hall and with the team at Coutume Cafe in Paris.

Later in 2022, they also welcomed Emily to the team who brings expertise as a pastry chef and chocolatier.
